This dialog allows the user to specify all the appropriate values for creating a new Geoscape3d project. This dialog remembers the last settings entered for the user's convenience.
Predefined Size: this gives the user the option to select from a commonly used set of sizes
Custom Size: this allows the user to specify the height and width of the heightmap
X: specifies the width of the heightmap
Y: specifies the breadth of the heightmap
Lock Aspect Ratio: keeps the aspect ratio of the current heightmap
Current: places the current width and breadth values into the appropriate X and Y edit boxes
Output texture size: Sets the resolution of the generated texture. The larger this is the better the quality of the output, but the longer it takes to generate.
Height Scale: This is how many "real world" units there are in one height unit.
Tile Size: This the width of the landscape tile in "real world" units.
Water Height: How high the water will appear on the landscape tile in "real world" units.
A summary of the units is presented.
Clear Current Objects: when checked, removes all existing objects in the current project before creating the new project. If this is unchecked, existing objects are copied into the new project.
This specifies whether to automatically generate and texture in the newly created project.
Auto Terrain and Texture: a blank terrain is created and then the Auto Terrain tool is run
Auto Texture: a blank terrain is created, but the user is given the option to select from the preset texture settings.
None: only a blank terrain is created
